Yemi Eberechi Alade is a Nigerian female musician and a songwriter , born on March 13 ,1989 in Abia State to a business woman ,Helen Alade nee Uzoma an Ibo woman and James Alade a police officer as the fifth of the seven siblings in a household full of music passion.This earned her the moniker ,the Yoruba-Ibo Girl due to her dual heritage of both South East and South West extraction.

She was educated at St,Saviours Primary School ,Lagos and then Victory Grammar School ,Lagos and later headed to the University of Lagos to study Geography.and she graduated in 2010 with B.SC. .In 2009 ,she emerged winner from 174 position at the maiden edition of peak talent show .She started by listening to popular musicians of the late 80s and early 90s ,started singing early in her church at the age of 12 and was making melodies from every little conversations. She started music proffessionally in 2005 and Through the help and supervision of Bayo Omisore was encouraged to win the Peak talent show and taking her to the next level
Her debut single ''Fimisile '' Featuring El Dee Don trended heavily on Youtube with ten thousands hits in a month alone ,gaining tremendous commendations.When Yemi Alade came out with GHEN GHEN LOVE in July 2012 ,it was the same legendary OJB that produced the track and now a monster hit and also its video was directed by Gambit Pictures ,under supervision of executive Director of the Effizzie musicgroup Taiye Aliyu including 2013 Bamboo Shoot by Director Frames .She has other songs like BIRTHDAY SONG and MY HEAD O!! produced by SHADYBIZNIZ and Uche Face featuring L.O.S.The producer was ELMCEE and also FLIPTYCE produced Bamboo, TFLAVA produced FAAJI.while OJB produced GHEN GHEN LOVE remix featuring Ice prince and Sasha, he equally produced SHOW ME .
Yemi Alade was signed to effizzie music group in 2013 and also dropped another single titled '' Johny '' produced by Selebobo and was about the one of the most popular songs that made waves 2013 to 2014.With over 100 stage performances making her the most powerful singer in west Africa after Tiwa Savage went into career limbo of childbirth, she certainly has made her marks in the industry featuring alongside great acts such as DIPP, ICE PRINCE , EL DEE DON ,SIR SHINA PETERS , M.I., SAUCEKID , SHANK,WAJE ,WHIZKID, YEMI SAX,to mention a few including big budget producers like OJB JEZREEL , E KELLY , IBK,MAJOR ONE ,SIZZLE PRO,DJ KLEM , BIGFOOT , DTUNES,,NOMORELOSS including renowned South African producer , Garth and Fliptyce
