O recognition not consolation
Things are not too hardAs you think or better still
To easier than you think
Yet you waited for two decades
Or at worst thirty decades
To achieve them
Those lofty dreams of your life
To meet wole Soyinka for an orthograph
Or write a foreword to my first book
'Neo Marxism How To Conquer World Poverty '
I travelled to his forest to meet him
To unscrupulous rejection by kongi
For my unscrupulous dream
Of being his heir apparent
To the repugnant remarks of the secretary
And security man who pleaded warmth
And console me with the grease
To ease my painful rejection
Alll of a sudden the table
Turned and the reply hit me like a rainbow
Once in a lifetime of fortunate errands
Garland on your shoulders
And the new epochs
Opens in the annal of great African literature.
Shalom!
