UNEMPLOYMENT THEORIES AND THE CONCEPT OF INTERNATIONAL DOLLAR STANDARD Part one

It is generally known that macroeconomic framework  is determinant of the level  of the unemployment and the rate of sustainable development in an economy .This often changes with the acceleration  and transition of diverse phases of industrial cycle and unemployment is expected to trend downward faster than four years after projected overproduction crisis eruption .Contrary to speculation ,it is wrong to assume the industrial cycle crisis would break out say in 2017 or 10  years after every crisis of the previous one .Any drop in unemployment  taking the United States as a case study ,if successful  is at best a guest work and a gamble .But anyway  the American Presidents are  known to take credit and the honour  for the outcome of the drive. 

Why would the crisis be charitable under current practice of global macroeconomic system ?Still yet economists-U.S.brutes do agree to do nothing .Why would they glorify the industrial cycle movement from  past crisis stagnation onward to moderate prosperity ,that precedes  a new boom and now forth and back to previous crisis or next crisis  ,yet they do nothing about it.

Economic figures hardly get better  hanging in a vicious cycle in which the whole messy patchwork revolves .This exudes structural inadequacy  prowling from boom to recession and back to boom or depression .So it is rational and empirical to assume that business cycle is inevitable and an integral part of modern macroeconomic instability .Still yet they perennially believed and concurred being inevitable solution can not be proffered and as holy as the gods in an irrationality that assumes there is no alternative –T.I.NA.and this they do nothing about.Sacrificing the public justice of the dying majority for their elusive comfort simply because they concurred  the mountain mole hill as the TINA .We cannot help but wonder about the place of economic balkanization of the destiny of dying mankind  and its universal progress.

Western economists have consistently most specifically since the emergence of modern age have ben in the drivers seat determining the absolute direction of world economy .In the same vein the miracles and the giant systems which they have helped devised now turning to a malediction and a threat to their own comfort and the public welfare that they swore to defend in their various and in most cases  superficial dissertations  .How long would the protection of the sectarian interest last? This threat could be met with aggression as endangered species recollect the most disturbed part and horror chapters of human history .

Gone are the days of colonialism  and now neocolonialism and globalization of universal destiny and society has taken hold of a new toga of expression .They are extremely imperial and so powerful  that booms and bursts across the world are distributed as they deem fit ,trading depression,recession and successive economic crisis as they desire to alter human destiny or promote it at will.They are sometimes distributed at a fair and unfair prices than they can control.The booms in China and SouthEast Asia or Persian gulf could easily be terminated at the ease of this comfort and manipulation of the counterpoise theories of the modern society .This chicanery does not spare recession bound --Europe itself –as an integral part of capitalist politics  and to a larger not spared of the good ,the bad and the ugly economic  climates in a volatile  era  .

The equal distribution of world wealth  as sole panacea of fighting against public injustice and  world poverty ,securing freedom of the majority of world population can be herald of this new dawn .Whether we like it or not ,controlled now or never or later ,brutal revolutions someday would come to the rescue –a bitter gospel that the hedonists often detest or hate to hear.It is far better for the buccaneer of justice to retrace their steps and exploitation of the dying souls rather than face the music.

Where do we begin our defence in our resolve to spread equality of wealth or near equality worldwide ?Frankly speaking attacking the dollar standard provides the cheapest templates for resolution ,soothing frayed nerves disjointed for ages and redressing free market imbalances of modern society.

                                               THE INTERNATIONAL DOLLAR STANDARD

Differences in the distribution of wealth worldwide are determined by variation of dollar standard ,rise and fall of dollar ,appreciation and depreciation of dollar standard across the world .The marginal differences recorded in the rise and fall of dollar standard results in the distribution and redistribution of wealth across America and Europe and then the world .In this context she is the world sole superpower based on this feat and dollar is the last lender and last wealth distribution card of global economy .Little wonder it was reported in 2001 that 70 percent of world economy is denominated in dollars usurping the previous glory of  an era dominated by gold exchange .So take away dollar and you risk the crash of that behemoth economy  and to a larger extent world economy – a reminiscent of the depression era that partly led to the outbreak of 2^nd world war.

THE ROLE OF MANUFACTURING SECTOR AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Part one

All over the world the real sector plays a crucial role in economic development basically the provision of mass employment and improvement of the  standard of living of the citizenry in general .In an ideal situation ,this role is best undertaken by  both local and foreign institutions and especially by both the public sector and the private sector in a mixed economic model as popularly practiced in this modern society  .Depending on the nature  of  development planning ,   policy and policy process respectively ,can be more effective unlike in the free market economy  in which the private sector is  shallow and dominant .

The multi-pronged approaches at job creation ,is a vital resource to tackle unemployment  crisis and can accelerate not just  proportion or quantity but also  the quality of jobs being created  as both formal sector and private sector compete in the vastly limited macroeconomic space .  The attainment of the ideals of flat earth theory of job creation which states the capability of the government to expand mass employment is more than possible only in this way or can be achieved  or even exceeded  However the application of this approach and especially the mixed economic model globally by its envisaged  strategic impact often leaves much to be desired .

The bureau of labour statistics  defined unemployment in an economy as a given proportion of active labour redundancies every four weeks and also include those currently out of job even though they are willing  to work . It also includes  those temporarily laid off in anticipation of recall back to work are included in the general unemployment statistics.

Government over the world often use this slogan or hard data to determine the direction of the economy proffering ways to revamp equally down ward economic indicators dubbed  as unethical behavior over the past 25 pears old or that more successive government   since 1999 had failed massively  to turn the apple cart of this burden and no deliberate steps  had been taken to address this scourge .Reliable statistics is hard to come by and reliable unemployment hardly exist either in this country which distorted planning .Hence we are forced to make do distorted facts for a distorted growth as official statistics and the institutions and people that use are hugely  divorced from reality .The national bureau of statistics in the first half of 2011 put the figure at 23.9 percent  a surge from 21.1 percent recorded in 2010 .So the figure rose from over 12 million people in 2010 to more than 14 million in 2011 growing by 1.8 million between December 2010 and June 2011.

Going back into history lane , according to Central Bank of Nigeria -2003 ,in 1970 national unemployment figure rose from  4.3 percent to 6.4 percent in 1980 .The latter was attributed to the then depression of the Nigerian economy that set in late 70s .Consequently this economic downturns led to introduction and adoption of austerity programmes and stabilization measures which included

Export restriction and acceleration of importation dependent syndrome of most manufacturing concerns  in the country where only few factories survived .Why did government also placed on embargo on employment during the period ? The federal civil service was totally humiliated with total disengagements . This rose to 6,294 in 1984 from mere 2,724 in 1980 –Odusola 2001].This led to flunctuation of national unemployment rate from 6 percent until it reached 7 percent in 1987 .The adoption of SAP in 1986 also aggravated the economic climate with serious implication on national unemployment growth .The reduction of the figure to as low as 1.8 percent in 1995  is debatable even though it rose to 3.4 percent in 1996 and hovered between 3.4 to 4.7 percent between 1996 to 2000.-Douglaston et al ,2006 ].

It is becoming clearer  that the unemployment situation in the country is not getting better  inspite of less than two million jobs being created by FGN per annum .80 percent of Nigerian youths are jobless  roaming the streets aimlessly in a country in which 70 percent of the population are youths .That is a calamity . Several reports stated that the national unemployment rate stood at 24 percent and such situation could be a lot worse in a country that lacked full functioning of the robust social security  system  or social safety nets or welfare  or unemployment benefits  to take care of labour redundancies . And each day strategic means of livelihood unceasingly plummets .Job creation in the country has not gone beyond scratching the surface in an economy in which labour market  according to world bank  is  growing by between 4.5 to 5million per annum unlike 3 per cent annum recorded in 2002 according to international  labour  organization –ILO.The national bureau of statistics noted that in the first half of 2014  about  500, 224 jobs were created .This  year-2014  is definitely going to  be  a lot worse than the previous year 2013 which recorded 1.6 million jobs .

FRATERNITY OF PIGEONHOLE

Hidden beneath jaundiced sands of time .

Her Romeo , a pilgrim father of pile on the agony ,

Neither  neat as a new pin nor care a two pins and

Pin back ears ,

Invertebrate sloths of time,goaded by no piece de

 resistance  ,maketh no pile ,

Enveloped with the vibes and piety of pious hope,

Pink elephants of nitpicking pips and fractured dusk .

Of parsimonious ogres ,

Not yet a pointilistic  liniment for the jetsam and puppets of

Punctured pungent,

Doff not your hats for this peak-o-philiac  and Pandora boxed

pas de deaux .

Held hostage in a parrot paragon of parrot fashion,paralyses

Parsimony,

The longsighted with the sentinel beyond the longitudinal,

Of the  macabre,

Is long headed with the ample rotund ,to draw the parachute  

Of the longbow  across the broad-waves ,

Sweatshop of  conscience ,Macebearers of conscience,an open

wound ,

Cease the madhouse and hopping mad of maelstrom  ,for a glorious

Dawn.

Many ado of peachy ringing bells gutted by pigeonhole and frostbitten

By penny pound pound foolish fruitcakes,

To relinquish gilded bays and pest ridden penury ingrained as the

Heirloom of morose earth ,

Let mother-earth not maroon the nutcased nozzles and noxious palms

mickey mouses .

From its theft of pigeonhole  and close fisted sheath of ossified oysters

Of the world,

Let them not die with the middens of the days of yore and locusts,

A mischance that could take only millennia of nosy-parkering and

swallowing peptic  pills, to burst off the noddles .

Shallom ,woollenheaded senile bough !

O THRESHOLD

                                   

The tidewater  rises and never returns

Tickled pink , forward leaning  and foraging footmark ,clothed

with the fuller’s earth ,

And fulminated ,on a sebaceous funnel swims the tide .

Furl up in a farrago of funereal and funky fest of funfair ,

Belching the cascade ,

And the tidewater of ateliery rises in cadence and never

Returns.

And like fusillade ,fuses into empty space ,

O threshold,o threshold , be my humble bay

With thy gavel and gaiety , I can strike  a tide,

Floating on a buoy and never returns .

O that genes ,chromosomes ,bereft by flotsam,

That gelignite ,missing in the rib ,makes the tidewater

Tick ,

That watermark, a quintessence of a gladiator and a mahomet                                                       

A generic brandish ,gerrymandering of the giddier grit of giggled pink .

That they can dream and they cannot muster,

That they can run and they cannot win ,

Teaches my threshold to run, tis the bulls eye to fill the

Burping drive ,that exit shall not alarm.

O threshold ,be my humble bay ,

Till the tidewater rises and never returns .

BURROWING FIELDS

Bullish hell mucks, a malodorous ,a paean sung

like a lullaby  ,

To unsit in a kerfuffle , ill-gotten bemused senses

of the lost generation ,

the true endangered species of the burrowing fields

Stuck like  the gizzard ,thrashed at the gibbet ,

the gallows desecrates remorse ,

And the Gestapo massacre of hell gnaws at

 the soul of the morning ,

They gnaw at the burrowing fields ,grumpier ,and gruesome

Glutinous ,

Grostequeries of the guilles and the guilotines,gobble up the

Earth’s treasured trove ,

Shifting the goalposts to gybe its gymnasticism.

Buccaneer ‘s piggy back  froth pizzazz pie eyed picadors ,picaresquely

Peals a pell-mell ,perfunctory ,peremptory perforation  of time as

open philter ,

And the ages peregrinate in lieu of gone-pear-shaped  perestroika ,

Alas , the parking ticket , no more illicit and the papyrus was long written

For millennia ,

As the paradeground  of the bucaners of freedom .

At the barley of the hangman’s noose and hanging valley terror,

The happy-go-lucky harbor , still kept mute harrows-n-trenches

And the fields melted , butchered  in broaddaylight , bushwacked

and gone for a burton ,

Run away nonchalance ,that buttonhole could come to the rescue,

I plead thee o buttonhole do not buzz off;may thy harmonica be played

And given the pugilism ,it deserves !

Thrust in your harpoon and may thy spirit be worshiped!
