The Possibility Of Dreams.part 234

A lot of critics might not agree to my postulation and that is quite expected to the facts that status and identity are extremely the same in the mere grammatical expression.Apparently they re not and distinctively status refers to individualised position or social group or social system 's standing.Whereas identity refers to self concept that entails beliefs, values and a sense of personality a sense of who the person is.While an individual's position within a social group or social hierarchy constitute the concepts of status and status making with samplings such as a student,an employee,a parent etcetera that can be through hereditary sources like gender, nationality or acquired through effort or work, the concept of identity entails the way an individual perception of themselves and the world around them.It is shaped by beliefs, values , personal experiences and a sense of who they re that is personality. It also entails aspects such as cultural identity, religious identity and personal identity. It refers to the social position or rank a person holds in a society,a group or an organization. It reflects how a society conceives and classify a person unlike identity on how individuals conceives and classify themselves.Their differences are boldly ingrained in the fact status focuses on the external parties compared introverted or internal nature of identity. The latter focuses on self concept and self perception and although they can be related they are not interchangeable as often used in social sciences, psychology and sociology.A personal status can influence their identity and we certainly do not disagree with that position but I do have misgivings the clash of ideology between the two.
The limitation of identity clash over the moral influence of status can be intriguing and is boldly ingrained in the societal fabric. This is boldly written and shown in the unending clash between them and insomuch that the proliferation of crisis and wars in human society is never detachable from the confine of this clash.
We require status nevertheless to acquire identity giving the fact it produces requisite knowledge to produce good identity.
