Adeleke Wins Election Once Again

Jubilation galore in osun state as adeleke wins election for the second term after defeating runner up oyebamji in the fiercely contested election.The overwhelming victory at the poll was particularly interesting considering the fact that he left big party like PDP to contest in a lowly rated party like accord party to rule again for the second time running.He had once boasted even he contest with no party would still have won.

He said "We opted for the accord party because its mission of welfarism aligns with our passionate focus on citizens"including worker's welfare.

According to the returning officer of the Osun Governorship election,Joshua Ogunwole who notified electorates of the results at the polling units the INEC collation center in Osogbo early Sunday noted that he polled 511,067 compared 444,815 of the rival oyebamji of the APC and Nojeem Salaam of National democratic party who polled 17,180 to come  at 2nd and 3rd respectively.

According to Ogunwole a total vote cast of 1,010,684 across the 30 local government of the state.About 985,079 were valid votes recorded for the accredited poll.

This however ended several months of the power struggle in which 15 political parties contested amid tight security personnel of fifteen thousands peace hungry policeman manned various sensitive areas including polling units to ensure peaceful poll.
