"I think it was disunity in Yorubaland.In 1999 to 2003 there totally dominance of AD with six governors.Afenifere was controlling these governors and all of a sudden Yoruba council of elders was formed by bola ige who drafted party manifestos of AD and PDP.Ige must have jealous of Abraham adesanya domineering influence at afenifere.Later the NPN group led by Richard Akinjide hijacked the YCE and went beyond the original mandate.Same ige broke down the unity and sold dummy to AD governors when he started to campaign for Obasanjo in the build up to 2003 election.When Obasanjo created factions within AD,it proved beyond reasonable doubt its final disintegration was laid."
