Hamiltonian America.Chapter 9.Sons of Liberty.page 7

"What did he do to him?"
"Nicknamed 'King of the New York streets"a prosperous merchant profited from West Indian trade during indian French war amassed small fortune."
"He launched any attack?"
"He gathered almost all a hundred horsemen in a militia in Connecticut,on November 19 first kidnapped Rev.Samuel Seabury, later terrorized his family in Westchester. He later paraded him through New Haven , Connecticut under military guard .Still Seabury refused to confess he was the author of "Westchester Farmer".
"You mean the essay that was rebuked by Hamilton right?"
"Exactly,a celebrated rebuttal. The little army turned south swooped down on Rivington's publishing shop in Manhattan in  a surprise raid .He planned to put it out of business.Several sources produced their evidence of this event . Hamilton 's experience at king's college days was well documented like this event especially in an anguish letter written to John Jay .
Several unsigned despatches mailed from new York to Royal Danish American gazette to his old mentor Hugh Knox who provided the inspiration.Perhaps the true source of Hamilton 's early days of the American revolution."
