Be Still

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Life never goes as planned or imagined. Unexpected storms roll in, waves crash, hopes & dreams smash on the rocks. The question we may find ourselves whispering (or screaming) into the darkness is...
Where are you God? Won't You bring Your peace? Won't you cause the writhing sea to calm?

I don't know about you but when the waves of life are crashing all around me, I need something to hold on to, a compass that points me in a direction to go, a rock-solid anchor to keep me grounded. No matter the storm, we can trust the WayMaker, Christ Himself, to be there every step of the way.
We'll learn to develop a S.A.C.R.E.D daily habit that will reorient our souls to the Lord thru Scripture, prayer and study. A daily habit spelled in just six letters, which is the soul's very real and directing compass to keeping company with God.
S- Stillness to Know God
A- Attentiveness to Hear God
C- Cruciformity to Surrender to God
R- Revelation to See God
E- Examine to Thank God
D- Doxology(expression of praise) to Thank God

Just as God did it for the Israelites at the Red Sea, God can make a way when there seems to be no way.
In the ocean and in life, we can face wave after wave. Surges take us seemingly way off course. Disappointments, losses, bad choices and changes reroute us, and maybe they sideswipe our hope too. We can find ourselves looking back at what we had hoped and prayed for and feel like it's gone for good. Like we've lost our way.

It's not the hard roads that slay us. What actually slay us is the expectation that this road isn't what we hoped it would be.
No matter what happens, Christ, our WayMaker, doesn't get tossed about, gulping water. He doesn't waver and He doesn't sink. Knowing Him and staying anchored to Him leads us to the greatest joy and fulfillment of our hearts desires- more than we could ever imagined.

May the helper of the helpless, the very present help in time of need come through for you at every critical moment in Jesus name. Amen.

Good Morning and do Have a SACRED Weekend.
