Tinubu announced ending of subsidy
The most complex decision by a sitting president and the most challenging decision ever taken by a Nigerian president since the seventies when the subsidy imbroglio evolved and started from .The Renewed hope agenda of the administration at the removal of subsidy I supposed was hinged on the success of Dangote refinery.That the success of Dangote refinery was to determine the success of subsidy removal in the long run.Basically I do not want to determine the outcome of political demogoguery and changing demographics but I surely believe the success of Dangote refinery especially the completion was not particularly possible without the involvement of bola Ahmed tinubu from the beginning to the end.When Aliko Dangote wanted to construct the beautiful refinery nobody gave him support but he was pursued from ondo State ondo people rejected and later he was pursued by Ogun State people they rejected him until tinubu came to his rescue and wooed him to come to Lagos to come to Lekki to get a land at the least for the refinery.All this was just a refreshing start and the Lagos omo nile started their own problem too and began to dribble him.They they dribbled right left and centre until they boxed him from Lekki free trade zone land into Ibeju Lekki where more money was needed to sandfill the huge portion that was apportioned ro him.As you know it about the size of some countries like Singapore three to seven times of singapore and the much bargained lane money was paid into the coffers of Lagos state via foreign account a whooping $100m.What a great achievement!Read my last piece entitled "Dangote Refinery And Petrochemical Revolution In Nigeria:A Behemoth At A Crossroad"recently posted on October 1,2025,on the challenges he faced during the construction period to have an overview of what it takes to build a giant project in the country.Finally ye built and comoletted the refinery and for our people to enjoy massively from the monumental investment the dane Nigerians built up barriers against themselves the so called Nupeng strike and threat against dangote was the last vestige of battles to be fought for dangote refinery to make life much easier for betterment of Nigerians.They call him all sort of names A monopoly etc .I dony understand is it tinubu that would solve the problem of gas scarcity or oil shortage ?Is it not the case of supply problems?Yet tinubu created avenue for the economy to thrive and petroleum marketers are creating more problems that they cannot solve.Today 95 per cent of marketers dont like dangote abit and are importing not ready to buy from dangote refinery saying he was a monopoly and his fuel are substandard and still yet they have no proof.They re influencing workers to join union making them aggressive to drive emoloyers crazy.I rest for now.
