I think I read through the essay written by my beloved Tope fashua as special adviser on economic matters in the office of vice president of Nigeria and I was saddened by the level of derogatory remark and desecrable taunt Tope Fashua with the backing of Bayo Onanuga special adviser on media matters ridiculed Tope Banwo and discredited him the esteemed quota of intellectual input he made towards Macroeconomic puzzles in the country .I don't know how to say this but am baffled that nigerians after over 60years of independence we haven't been able to for once devised our own home grown Macroeconomic formula that is ideal to the unique environment in which we found ourselves.Ope Banwo's initiative if it were to be in America would have been supported and he would have turned to be better than Keynes or Adam Smith etc or the rest of them.I was not happy with the way the fadeyi school of thought was rubbished by the so called ikoyi school of thought.Bizarre as the solution procured might be it does not make any sense for the fashua 's team to pour derogatory remark on the potential team that could bridge the missing Macroeconomic gap in the country that we haven't seen since we got Independence.Those who indulge in this vainglory are only doing a disservice to the fatherland though they think otherwise.Did Maynard Keynes not tear apart classical economics as a don in the university having taught it for more than two decades to no avail? People who are strategic thinkers should be supported no matter how crude or not their ideas might be.Our posterity lies in the fadeyi school of thought and not spent force like jaded ikoyi team.
