Passengers play a quiet but powerful role in road safety. A "good" passenger assists the driver by handling navigation, managing the music, or keeping the conversation light to prevent distraction. Conversely, a disruptive passenger who encourages speeding or distracts the driver with a phone screen becomes a liability. Passengers also have the right and the duty to speak up if they feel unsafe, such as asking a driver to slow down or put away their phone. By acting as a supportive co-pilot, passengers contribute directly to a focused and secure driving environment.
