The Case for Roundabouts: Why Intersections Are Outdated
Traditional four-way intersections are hotspots for "T-bone" collisions, which are among the deadliest types of accidents. Roundabouts, while often frustrating to the uninitiated, are mathematically superior for safety. By forcing traffic to move in a circular, one-way direction at lower speeds, they eliminate the possibility of high-speed head-on or side-impact crashes.
