In an interview published in Sunday Punch of April 21,2013,Mr Anthony Goyol tells Jude Owuamanam about plan of northern oligarch intended to massacre all officers of middlebelt origin who participated actively or passively in the coup of February 13,1976.Goyol who was detained with some of the plotters bares his mind in the untold story of how the innocent people were massacred,for which the blogger now reviews.It is very clear that the northern oligarchy barely nurse any optimism for the civilisation of the hapless nation that they ruled with iron fist.-The pace of economic development in the north far lags behind the south even by hundred years,if not more and by all socialand economic indices,justifiable and empirically proven.But out of the very few informed minds in the north in the 60s and 70s,certainly Joseph Gomwalk the first military governor of Benue-Plateau State,who was innocently executed in the coup of Feb.13,1976,for daring the core north and brought unprecendented development into the state.
