The truth,the military governor was hated by northern oligarchy.Why? Because they call him a rebel.A rebel! why the rebel?According to Goyol,he was accused of creating another north out of the north.How,did he achieve that?Gomwalk exponentially expanded development projects and brought so many projects to the middlebelt. First,he cut off from New Nigerian Newspapers and established the Plateau Printing and Publishing company;cutting off from kaduna Television and founded Benue Plateau RadioandTelevision and a host of others.So,because of that derision and envy for middlebelt economic progress,and for daring to beindependent,he was set up. That was a major reason and he later faced trials in Lagos and together with Gomwalk were put in detention,knowing he had nothing seriousagainst the head of state. Later theygave him a life jail term,alongside a handful of officers.It was not true that Gowon was part of the coup,and he was only informed of the coup during Dimka visit to London.He heard the story in prision.
