The Artist Seal
Sonnet II: The Artist's SeaI stand before the vast and shifting sea,And watch the waves crash on the sandy shore,Its wild expanse brings boundless peace to me,A depth of blue I could not e'er ignore. The salty wind is whispering of flight,As gulls ascend into the azure sky,The sun reflects a shimmering of light,While boats upon the distant waters lie.No brush can capture every moving hue,No canvas hold the power of the tide,Yet in my heart, the ocean rings so true,Where all my deepest inspirations hide. The tides will turn and wash the sand away,But love for this great sea will ever stay.
