An origami master folded a small crane out of an old newspaper page. When she blew on its wings, the paper bird shuddered, blinked its ink-dot eyes, and took flight. As it flew around the room, the text printed on its wings began to shift and scramble. The old news articles vanished, replaced by a fresh, breaking headline that read: You will receive a surprise letter tomorrow. The crane then settled onto her desk, turning back into ordinary paper.
