The Midnight Baker
Julian opened his bakery at three in the morning to bake sourdough. As he kneaded the dough, he noticed the flour on the counter was shifting on its own. It slowly formed perfect, miniature constellations that matched the night sky outside. When he baked the loaves, the crusts came out cracked in the exact shapes of shooting stars. Anyone who ate a slice that morning spent the rest of the day feeling light on their feet, as if gravity had lost its grip on them.
