The Mapmaker's Ink

An apprentice cartographer spilled a bottle of rare starlight ink onto a blank parchment map. Instead of staining the page, the black liquid pooled and formed tiny, perfect rivers that began to flow. Miniature mountains grew out of the paper like paper-mache, and small, ink-drawn ships began to sail along the coastlines. When he placed his finger near the shore, a microscopic lighthouse flashed a tiny, brilliant beam of light against his knuckle.
